8,000-pound elephant nails a handstand like a gymnast and the internet's absolutely mindblown

Elephants aren't just massive creatures—they are the epitome of intelligence and emotional quotient that can even outdo humans at times. Well, countless elephant vs. human stories might have tarnished their reputations, but they, too, surprise people with their adorable antics. During jungle safaris, you must have seen elephants captivating people with their playful and quirky nature, but have you ever seen one doing a handstand? No, it's not some imaginary story but something that happened in real life. An individual who goes by u/punstorms on Reddit shared an incredible video of a giant elephant named Rosie impressing everyone with its unbelievable stunts.

In the video, a woman could be seen bathing Rosie while the jumbo slept peacefully. However, just as everyone thought Rosie was enjoying her deep slumber, she woke up, allowing the woman to clean her properly. "Remember, that's over 8,000 pounds. And if you watch Rosie, you will notice how graceful she is," someone in the background exclaimed. In no time, the massive elephant became the center of attraction, wooing the audience with her impeccable performance. As if this wasn't already enough, Rosie went a step further by delivering a perfect handstand. "That is so cool! She did a handstand!" someone in the audience said.
The now-viral Reddit post received an overwhelming response on social media, leaving many awestruck at the elephant's unbelievable stunt. Meanwhile, reacting to the post, u/norse_bear wrote, "This is like when you see your chubby but naturally strong friend effortlessly do a pull-up for the first time and you're like, 'Oh, I knew you were a beast, but this is next level.'" u/amazing-bag commented, "I mean, to the elephant, it weighs exactly what it needs to for peak animal ability. I'm sure it could do many things we think are shocking, but to an elephant, it's just Tues."
On the other hand, u/background_abrocoma8, who seemed a little concerned about the jumbo, commented, "Elephants are smart; you can teach them to do a lot of things through positive reinforcement, but no matter how much positive reinforcement you try, an elephant will never do a handstand 'humanely.' That elephant is probably abused." u/fhugem said, "It's amazing how elephants can surprise us with their intelligence and adaptability. That trunk stand is no small feat for an 8,000lb animal!" u/nowhereright said, "Something I've never actually seen before? In this economy? That's actually really cool. I had no idea they could do that."

Likewise, u/ociler commented, "It's also very interesting seeing how he kneels down. For some reason I wasn't expecting that he could do that in that way." u/scottvrakis shared, "I'm just completely impressed that it (he? She?) seems to respond so amicably to being hosed down with water. The person doing it is so casual, I feel like they could have a mundane conversation with the damn elephant while cleaning them. I don't know, maybe I'm being crazy, but those animals are something else. Straight up, 'alien-like intelligence' is the only phrase my mind conjures right now."
