A special needs dog lost its balance at an aquarium. Incredibly, dolphins came to the rescue
Just like humans are driven by a deep need for connection, animals too share a remarkable bond that is built on empathy, companionship and understanding. A similar chapter of unwavering love unfolded when Beans, a special needs reunited with its two dolphin friends Nicholas and Izzy. Karey J Burek (@denalisnewlife), owner of the dog, captured the adorable moment Beans met its buddies at Florida's Clearwater Marine Aquarium and what unfurled later was truly incredible to watch. The wholesome video was shared on Instagram that amazed over 35 million people online.
Burek revealed that meeting a dolphin was a dream come true for Beans, something it had always wanted to check off the bucket list. That dream became a reality when Beans met Izzy and Nicholas at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. The incredible staff there even reached out to Burek later, inviting Beans for a special reunion with his new friends. When Beans arrived at the aquarium, it rushed to its favorite spot which was in front of the "giant viewing window" and started looking for Nicholas and Izzy. However, just as it spotted Izzy, Beans happened to lose balance and stumbled.
Following this, the two rescued dolphins were seemingly worried about their friend and kept gliding over to "check on their buddy." The moment hit another milestone when Izzy actually bought its toy to show Beans. As the overwhelming scene unfolded on the screen, the text overlay read, "Our special needs dog Beans visited the aquarium and the dolphins were concerned when he lost his balance." Notably, Izzy's deep empathy and instinct to comfort others stem from its challenging past. As Burek revealed in the caption, Izzy was rescued near North Padre Island, Texas, after enduring years of harmful human interaction in the wild. This traumatic past severely impacted the dolphin's health and required urgent intervention.
