Abandoned with a heartbreaking note, this loving pup is now waiting for her forever home

You might have come across heartbreaking stories about how people often abandon their pets just because they can no longer take their responsibilities. However, at times, their reasons might be genuine. Sudden financial turmoil, medical emergencies, or behavioral issues might force some pet owners to surrender their babies even if they don't want to. On a related note, an animal shelter named Great Plains SPCA shared an unreal story about an abandoned dog, Jade, they found—with a heart-wrenching note attached to her.

When Jade was found, there was not much information about her—just a note attached to her that read, "Looking for a good home to avoid pound." Fortunately, the adorable dog was found by the animal center but has been looking for a forever home ever since. "She's a loving, playful pup who did amazing in her foster home, which was an apartment! She loves to chew toys, gets along great with other dogs, and is ready to bring joy into a new home! Jade has been waiting for her fresh start," the rescue center shared in the caption. Further, the rescue shelter shared beautiful pictures of Jade and asked if someone was willing to give her a safe and happy home through the Facebook post.
Meanwhile, Bridgette Goodfriend-Howell, who was seemingly moved by Jade's story, commented, "Beautiful Jade, be blessed with an angel to adopt you, God, you beautiful dog angel. Hugs, XO." Similarly, Trina Holloway wrote, "What a beautiful puppy! She deserves the world! Please open your heart and home for her!" Summer Breeze shared, "2 dogs dumped by my home. Now I fear summer litter. We need legislation to stop pet overpopulation and the abuse they suffer." PetSuites Lee's Summit commented, "Everyone at PetSuites Lee's Summit is rooting for Miss Jade to find her forever family!" Cindy Franklin Williams shared, "I’ll take her! Poor baby! I have a fenced-in backyard and does she do well with kids? I also have a black lab who loves to play."

Notably, Jade, a three-year-old shepherd, was first adopted from an animal shelter in Kansas in December 2024. However, after three days, the canine was found by Great Plains SPCA, as reported by Newsweek. "She has been in the shelter for three months. She was very stressed when she first arrived, so after a month, she went to a foster home," an official from Great Plains SPCA shared with the outlet. Jade loved her foster home, and the animal rescue center is hopeful that the dog will be great at her future adoptive home too.
"If anyone is interested in adopting Jade, they can visit our website at greatplainsspca.org. They can email or call our adoption team to set up a time to meet Jade. If people want to support Jade and our other animals but can't adopt, we always appreciate donations," they revealed. Moreover, Jade was described as a well-behaved, gentle dog who loves people, including senior citizens and children. Not just that, the clever pup has even learned several commands and has no behavioral issues with other large dogs.
