Cat was abandoned at airport like luggage and mistreated by others. But things turned around soon

Adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and should not be just an impulsive decision driven by excitement. Unfortunately, many pet parents don't realize the responsibilities that come along with owning a pet. While they initially enjoy the companionship, the daily responsibilities can often be overwhelming. As challenges arise, many, instead of taking responsibility, choose the heartbreaking path of abandonment. Similarly, a heart-wrenching video shared on The Vet Diaries's (@giddykittykat) TikTok page captured the distressing moment when a cat was abandoned at an airport by its owners.

The page admin found the helpless cat sitting near the escalator, his eyes filled with fear and confusion. According to the viral clip, the cat's owner didn't have proper documents for it to board the flight. Instead of finding any solution, they abandoned their poor feline at the airport. The tiny cat had a rough time at the airport, being mistreated at the airport by a group of ignorant kids. Terrified by the situation, the cat sought refuge in a dangerous place near the escalator. Simultaneously, the overlay text read, "He just wants to be safe." Furthermore, the admin shared a devastating picture of the cat thrown alongside luggage, a stark display of his owner's cruelty. "You don't leave family behind!" the page admin wrote in the video caption. 

Reacting to the gut-wrenching TikTok video, @kellz wrote, "People who dump their pets like trash don’t deserve to own animals or have children! Thank you for rescuing him." Similarly, @melody commented, "If my cats don’t board, I don’t board. I will never understand how people can abandon their pets. I would die for mine." @ann19870206, who was seemingly shattered by the incident, asked, "How do they even go on living after abandoning these precious fur babies? Some people shouldn't have pets at all!" @roynakhatun commented, "Why can't people understand this cat has a life and a heart? Why would you just leave him anywhere? Please, please, if anyone knows anything about this cat, I'm happy to give him a home!" @jay811823 shared, "I'm raging mad seeing this right now. How could anyone do this? We adopt pets so we care and take responsibility for their lives. My cat is our family. Can't believe how heartless people can be."

On the other hand, @marcus_lynch said, "This is heartbreaking! People that abandoned him should be ashamed of themselves!" @chasecity99 revealed, "I rescued my cat when I was living in England, and I brought her back to Canada with me. I had to pay an extra $100 to get a different plane ticket so she could come to the cabin at a different airport." @shumushroom commented, "How could someone do that to their own pet? I will abandon a million flights before I ever abandon my baby!" @salmavallles shared a personal anecdote and wrote, "I had a similar experience almost 2 years ago, and the person at the counter told me to leave my baby in order to take the plane because there was miscommunication. I decided to lose that plane."

Meanwhile, the admin shared another TikTok video, sharing a heartwarming update about the abandoned cat. The kitten who was left alone at the airport was sent to foster care. "Kitty is healthy & safe!" she wrote. Moreover, the page admin urged people to connect in case they are interested in adopting and giving the kitty a forever happy home.
