Moving out of your childhood home for better opportunities is a milestone most people reach as they grow old, but for most parents, it can be a bittersweet moment. The elderly parents may often feel lonely and, of course, isolated. In such situations, living with an adorable pet, especially a dog, might significantly improve their emotional well-being. Likewise, when Zoe Coady (@zoekcoady on TikTok) moved out of her father's house, she was worried that her Dad, Chris, would miss her and her three pets, so she surprised him with a dog of his own.

Well, the surprise was well thought out, starting with Coady tricking her father into believing that she was visiting him solely because her kettle had broken, and she wanted his assistance to fix it. However, unknown to Chris, Coady was holding the adorable new puppy in her lap while she was talking to her father over call. "We surprised our Dad with his own dog after we moved out and took both the dogs with us because he missed them so much," the on-screen text read, while Coady deceived her father about her visit.

The scene then shifted to Chris' house, where his daughter handed him the cardboard box with the tiny puppy peeking out through it and said, "That's your own Boo." Holding his new dog, Boo, tightly in his arms, the man asked in disbelief, "You got me a dog?" What was truly incredible was how the chihuahua reacted upon meeting his new owner. It immediately snuggled up into Chris' arms like they knew each other for years.

The precious moment received an overwhelming response on social media. Reacting to the TikTok video, @ralphandisla25 commented, "That dog has just won the lottery on papas. You just know they will be inseparable." Similarly, @vlsxo22 commented, "This is so beautiful. Everyone should have their own Boo." @nichollebart commented, "The way the pup snuggled right into your Dad. That is his baby now!" @kmarie_1982, another dog owner, commented, "Looks just like our chihuahua, she looks like a tiny collie dog, so that’s her name (Collie)." @anjijane28 commented, "OMG! This is adorable! I love your dad and his wee puppy! Too wholesome!" On the other hand, @dinky19_1919 appreciated Coady's sweet gesture and commented, "Aww, that’s so beautiful! Everyone needs a pup in their life!" @beckieanjo wrote, "I love nothing more than to see a man loving on a dog."

Notably, Coady and her father lived in Ireland along with the former's pets—a cat and two dachshunds. When Coady moved out, Chris would regularly visit her and take her dogs for walks. When the woman noticed how much her Dad loved spending time with the dogs, she was sure that it was time Chris had his own pet. While her father was always sure that he did not want another pet after Coady and her pets moved out, his daughter definitely thought otherwise. Talking to Newsweek, Coady shared, "He loves her." Moreover, she explained why the new puppy was named Boo and said, "because he(Chris) used to nickname my Dachshunds 'the boos,' so now he has his own Boo."
