Dog and cat living together take on each other's characteristics, and people can't get enough

Dogs and cats both make amazing pets and they are undoubtedly the best companion anybody can ask for. Having said that, the two species are very different from each other when it comes to their characteristics. However, things take an unexpected turn when the two animals grow up and stay together. Best friends Chloe and Clea recently went viral after their owner shared how similar the two have become after living with each other for over three years. The duo, known on Instagram as @thebeagleandthebun, have taken over the internet for all the right reasons. “I am a ‘cats who act like dogs’ and ‘dogs who act like cats’ person whenever I get asked if I am a dog or a cat person,” shared Megan Cottone in one of the posts about her pets.

The little cat was practically raised by the beagle, which is why the feline now has many canine traits. The cat wears a leash, loves going on walks, and explores the outside world alongside her canine companion. It wasn't only Clea who took over Chloe's traits. The dog also shows many feline traits. The beagle loved sitting at a windowsill and watching things outside and often the best on top of pillows. He also loves staying in with his feline partner and cuddling for hours.

The video is uploaded on their page, and the dog and the cat can be seen behaving like one another. "Reasons why my cat is a dog and my dog is a cat," the overlay text on the video read. The cat has now gotten in the habit of performing tricks for treats just like dogs do. The owner also talks about how the dog loves staying at home and cuddling while the cat wants to head out and explore the world. The dog also never gives up an opportunity to get up on counters, just like the cat. Both Chloe and Clea love belly rubs and always look for soft places to rest. 

People in the comment section were taken aback after looking at their companionship, and some even shared their own anecdotes. "We had a cat who did tricks and played fetch but could never be leashed trained. People underestimate cats. And we have a dog who has wandered on tables but won't play fetch. Go figure. Love them all!" wrote @anne._m._williams. "I love this!  We got our beagle when she was just a wee pup. One of our more adventurous cats, Emma, “adopted” her. Now that the pup is fully grown, she’s more cautious but they still have a special bond," added @jagnew0234. "My cat and dog are like this too. My dog was only 1 year old when I got my 6-month-old cat, so they grew up together. They are both very neutral on the cat<--->dog spectrum lol," expressed @needham2090. While the two still have many differences, the video is great proof that differences can never stop you from getting along. The duo loves cuddling, resting together, and exploring the world.
