Dog starts a dance-off at the Lakers NBA game but there was only going to be one winner

Most people might have seen dogs at their peak energy—running around like little furry tornadoes, chasing their reflections and whatnot! But have you ever seen a dog dancing? Well, not just the excited wiggles or happy hops, but real, rhythmic moves. It's not some random fiction story but a real incident that happened at the Lakers NBA game. An adorably beautiful dog, Brodie, who goes by @brodiethatdood on TikTok, unexpectedly broke into a dance battle, and guess what? He actually won the "Fan Of The Game" title.

In the now-viral TikTok video, Brodie was captured lounging on his owner Cliff Brush Jr.'s lap when something surprising happened. With a few playful movements, Brush turned his relaxed puppy into an impromptu dancer. The result? In no time, Brodie became a viral sensation capturing millions of hearts globally. The entire crowd at the venue erupted in loud cheers for Brodie as he competed for the "Fan Of The Game" title against another equally enthusiastic human contender. The dance battle went on for a few moments before Brodie was declared the ultimate winner. "Congratulations! You are the Fan of the Game!" the host announced, as Brush hugged his furry friend in celebration. Sharing more about his dog's impressive dance skills, the dog owner proudly shared in the caption, "Brodie is undefeated in dance-offs."
Meanwhile, reacting to the clip, @bagel_jams, another pet parent commented, "My dog only dances at home but maybe one day he’ll gain the confidence to dance in front of an audience this size." @pfranco023 commented, "I'm impressed that Brodie never caves under pressure especially with crowd noise too! what a good boy!" @silverwolf_65 commented, "Reminds me of the scene in SpongeBob when everyone just started applauding when SpongeBob would come out to clean the mic." @dinnerwithpapadean commented, "Aww how he pointed to show his dog he was on the big screen. The cutest moment ever!" @_cheekychic_ wrote, "When you made him stand up...definitely no chance after that! Why do we as pet owners always want them to see themselves?"

@sammstark1 wrote, "Lol, I watched this game and saw Brodie but of course, they don’t show this part on TV. Brodie is so cute!" @dreamindadream wrote, "If I’m ever in a dance battle and I see Brodies as my competitor, I’m just going to quit. I know he got that win coming." On the other hand, @eachpaw_official commented, "That's awesome! Brodie's dance moves must be off the charts to be undefeated in dance-offs." @miichelletrrann commented, "What an amazing memory to have with one of your best friends!"

Notably, the dancing dog Brodie, who has now become an internet sensation, is also a service dog, USA TODAY reported. Yes, that's right! In his mid-20s, Brush shared that he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called lichen planus. When his family realized that his health issue was significantly related to being stressed, they got a Golden Retriever, Luna. Further, when they tried putting Luna in service dog training, she did not turn out an ideal candidate. In 2020, the female puppy gave birth to Brodie, who is now an integral part of Brush's life. Moreover, he shared that Brodie began working as a service dog in 2021 and since then, Brush has experienced no flareups from lichen planus.
