Dogs 'host' podcast on separation anxiety after their owners leave the house, it's too good to skip

Ever wondered what your dog does at home when you're away? You might imagine them peacefully sleeping in their favorite spot or sneaking treats, but the reality could be quite different. Well, meet Willy (@officialwillygooddog on Instagram) and Jax, two precious pups who started a podcast—just to vent about their separation anxiety when their humans leave—and the result is comedy gold!

"Welcome to the podcast! I am Willy, and my co-host is Jax, the golden boy. And tonight, I have major anxiety," the Golden Retriever announced, his voice laced with drama as he talked about the heartbreaking betrayal of watching their parents get ready to leave them alone. "No grandma, no crate, just alone," he added. However, Willy didn't seem too bothered—in fact, he was downright thrilled at the thought of having the couch all to himself. "Yeah, sounds awful! Quiet house, couch to myself, absolute torture!" he scoffed dramatically. But Jax was terrified—just the idea of his parents never returning petrified him. "What if they get kidnapped by squirrels?" he asked.
As if the podcast wasn't entertaining enough, the duo planned on calling out their parents the next time they tried pulling the "special treat stunt" again. This time, Willy and Jax were determined not to fall for cheap distractions such as their favorite treat. "I saw Mom grab the peanut butter jar, but it wasn't our treat time," Jax informed. On the other hand, Willy, who seemed a bit too confident about their parents' ways of keeping them busy and quietly leaving the house, said, "Rookie mistake, that's the old pill disguise 5000. They pop it in your mouth, and bam. You are swallowing betrayal faster than a frisbee I'm about to catch." Moreover, he gave some pro tips to the Golden Retriever to ensure he didn't fall for their parents' cheap tricks again.
"First, when Mom says, 'Who wants a treat?' Don't wag!" Next, Willy instructed Jax to take the treat, act happy, and then, at the perfect moment, spit it out. But the Golden Retriever wasn't fully convinced as he asked what he would do if their parents chased him. "Then activate the zoomies; you're a Golden Retriever, not a house plant. Use your talents!" Willy said. After sharing some other tips, the duo decided to wrap up the podcast so Willy could go and guard the peanut butter jar. Reflecting more on the hilarious reel, the dogs' owner revealed, "Total anxiety when the pawents (parents) leave us," in the video caption.

The video received an overwhelming response on social media, with 2 million views online. Meanwhile, reacting to the Instagram reel, @nia said, "I can’t stand podcasts, but I watched this whole video and I am hoping for more, lol!" Similarly, @theresapeacock3 said, "These are the podcasts that we need. Love your videos, and these dogs are so cute!" @michele shared, "These guys crack me up. I’ve seen the golden Zoomies. Beware of the cheese!" @logreen, who was seemingly moved by Jax and Willy's podcast, said, "I absolutely LOVE these! They make my day!"
