There is something truly special about watching your kids grow up around dogs. From their first wobbly steps to their teenage years full of adventures, most dogs become possessive guardians, fiercely protective of their humans. Raising kids with a dog means that no matter what, they will always have a partner in crime, protecting them from the cruel world. However, only a few seem jealous of their human siblings and constantly beg for more attention. Nevertheless, Crishelle, a new mother who goes by @xocrishelle on TikTok, is fortunate enough to witness a heartwarming bond between her child and the family dog. Well, the adorable dog named Autumn thinks that no one can look after the baby like her, not even the baby's biological mother.

In a video, Crishelle shared a hilarious moment when her dog, from a distance, was making sure that her baby sister was taken care of while shooting glares at her mother. At first, she caught a glimpse of the family dog, Autumn, standing alert by the footboard. Moments later, the new mom raised her camera, revealing her baby peacefully lying on the bed. Notably, the quirky, doubtful dog kept her gaze fixed—first at the baby, then at their mother—as if confirming that Crishelle was taking good care of the baby. She kept shooting deadly glares at Crishelle, almost as if she was bothered by Crishelle using the phone instead of looking after the newborn baby. Simultaneously, the overlay text on the screen read, "My dog thinks my baby is her baby. She doesn't trust my parenting."

The now-viral TikTok video received an overwhelming response with over a million views online. Moreover, while replying to comments, Crishelle shared how possessive their Dachshund is about her baby. The woman wrote, "She (the dog) follows me everywhere I go with her." Meanwhile, reacting to the video, @tres_803 commented, "She looked at you like, 'Why are you looking at me? You need to be watching her.'" Similarly, @auntienakita wrote, "Girl, please hand that lady her baby. Something just doesn’t sit right with her about how you’re letting HER babysit there… No cuddles or nothing."

On the other hand, @priceypisces_ shared, "That’s definitely somebody's grandma reincarnated; I can tell by the judgmental side-eye." @queen_beulah_2 interpreted the dog's behavior and said, "You better do nothing to that baby; I'm watching." @ajcraig23 wrote, "Can I borrow your dog…I have some folks at work I want her to look at real quick." @d33d33natl commented, "Who needs a mother-in-law when you have the judgment of a Dachshund? Too adorable!" @dbeth23 said, "I already know you’ve told her once or twice that you got this… She really is trying to be quiet."

In yet another heartfelt TikTok post reflecting their family dog's bond with her newborn baby, Crishelle posted beautiful pictures of the duo. From sleeping together to guarding her baby sister while she enjoys a deep slumber, Autumn just refuses to leave her favorite human. "Autumn is the best sister. She is so maternal. This is her baby. The last picture is like, 'She’s finally here; can I touch her?'" Crishelle shared in the post caption.
