By now, almost everyone knows about Jackie and Shadow—two famous bald eagles from San Bernardino, South California. Yes, we are talking about the eagles whose nesting process has gone viral on social media. In a heartwarming turn of events, the duo have welcomed their third eaglet on March 8, 2025. Well, Big Bear Bald Eagle Nest 2025, a non-profit organization, shared live footage of the eagles' nest on Facebook, announcing the arrival of their third baby.

In the now-viral video, Jackie made sure to take care of all three eaglets, ensuring that they got sufficient food. She meticulously held tiny food particles in her mouth, gently feeding her babies. Even the youngest one, who had just emerged out of the egg after a whole day of struggle, got its fair share.  As per the organization, the third chick spent an entire day tirelessly pecking and pushing itself out of the shell before finally breaking free the following day. "Jackie kept the progress to herself through the night, keeping the chicks tucked tightly underneath her and getting some well-deserved sleep for herself. They all look dry, healthy, and full of energy. As they jostle around for positioning, the newest one will have plenty of food still from its yolk for a few days," a part of the caption read

Meanwhile, reacting to the Facebook post, Nikki Walters commented, "It’s like Mother Nature is making up for the last few years of no babies." Similarly, Rosalie Giunta shared, "Just watched her feed, the 3rd baby! Parents are so careful to feed everyone!" Jacqueline Coffill wrote, "Absolutely delighted! Well done, Jackie and Shadow, your babies are so beautiful! What a great job they have done and continue to do. So privileged to witness this beautiful story." Christina Mahady revealed, "I work from home and have had the live cam going all day—even the sounds of the wind and snow in the trees are so soothing! And then to watch all these babies emerge…What a calm to the soul in these hard times. This is the kind of news we need! Trying not to get too attached to these guys, but just enjoying being able to witness this beautiful, natural process. Thank you for all the context and comforting words you provide as we watch their journey!"

Jeanne Daley commented, "I’m sure I’m not alone in being so thrilled for Jackie and Shadow and these three little babies. I know there are probably many others like myself who have been afraid to get too excited the last couple of years. I’m so happy and relieved and excited and praying for these three little babies and their continued health and growth." Samantha Wacker shared, "I just cannot stop watching! Kudos to whoever manages the camera. There have been so many great shots of these little babies coming into the world."

Jeanne Hoff Swaney, who was seemingly moved by the news, wrote, "Congratulations, Jackie and Shadow! Right in the midst of a brutally cold snowstorm, you have hatched three little ones! I’m overwhelmed and so happy for your sweet little family!" Allen-Barbara Morton said, "This is just SO WONDERFUL, 3 PRECIOUS BABIES. So proud of Jackie and Shadow's resilience; it's going to be hard keeping 3 chicks healthy if the weather conditions continue. Thank you, Sandy, for all your updates."
