Golden Retriever melts hearts as it takes over cat's parenting duties to care for kittens
Animals, just like humans, show love and affection to their offspring, and dogs are a great example of affectionate parents. They feed, clean, and protect their young ones just like human parents take care of their babies. While canines caring for their puppies is natural, have you ever seen a Golden Retriever love kittens like a true father? Yes, you read that right! Some dogs go beyond imagination, adopting and loving other animals and proving that parent love knows no boundaries. Something similar was witnessed when a pet parent, Marina Crowe (@marina.crowe on TikTok), shared an incredible video of her Golden Retriever, Jax, babysitting their feline Pepsi's newborn kittens.
In the heartwarming TikTok video, while new mom Pepsi watched in utter confusion, Jax stepped up as a caring guardian, snuggling up with the newborn kittens in the bathtub, making sure that the babies were safe and happy. Meanwhile, their owner, who captured the wholesome moment, was equally baffled, and she asked, "Oh my goodness! Jax, what are you doing?" On the other hand, the kittens were strangely comfortable with the Golden Retriever, as they equally responded to the affection as if he were one of them. Simultaneously, the overlay text on the screen read, "Golden Retriever playing dad."
Reacting to the endearing clip, @socalladylux commented, "Watch Jax as he gently maneuvers his feet around the baby kittens to lie down with them. I love Jax!"
