Heartbroken owner dismissed psychic’s strange prediction about her stolen dog — until it led her straight to her missing pup the very next day

The owner's 2 a.m. off-leash walk turned alarming when her dog vanished in minutes while she chatted.

A psychic’s prediction for a dog owner determined to find her missing dog proved worthwhile when a strange coincidence helped her recover him. Ceilidh Barclay and her Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Eco, were out on a walk in the middle of the night. The pup was stolen while Barclay’s back was turned. It was only a matter of seconds, Eco was dognapped by thieves lurking in the shadows. But Barclay was not one to give up. She took matters into her own hands to track down the thieves and bring her beloved pet back home.

At 2 a.m., Barclay from the UK decided to walk Eco off-leash since there was no one around. She turned to chat with her partner, and five minutes later, her dog was gone. "We heard ushering. Both of us heard it," the pet owner told This Morning (@thismorning) in an interview. She further explained, "Looked up at the same time as hearing the sound, and she'd vanished. There were [sic] no people, no cars, and no dog around.” Struck in disbelief, Barclay hoped that her dog had run off to their home. They rushed back home but could not find him. At this point, she realized that Eco had been dognapped and there was no one to help her at that odd hour.

An elaborate search was launched by her family, as they put missing posters and flyers around the town. They also created a Facebook group asking for leads and possible information about Eco’s whereabouts. There was no shortage of tips, but they uncovered nothing but futile leads from strangers. One strange comment by a psychic piqued Barclay’s interest initially.  “I remembered that a stranger commented on my Facebook post that they had a ‘psychic reading’ with my dog,” she said. The comment provided a vivid description of where Eco was.

The psychic’s vision said that Eco was being kept at a first-floor flat, and they could see out of a window. “They can see a blue building, a pallet, and a telegraph pole, which is very specific.” Later, a daycare worker informed her about a possible location. Oddly, it represented the exact description stated by the psychic. She could not believe her eyes and waited at the site for seven hours, hoping Eco would be let out for a walk in between. As soon as they did, several hours later, Barclay jumped at the opportunity and whispered the dog’s name to call her.

Eco came rushing to her mom, and the two drove away into the dust while the thief kept screaming at them. Just like that, Barclay had rescued her dog from the thief the same way they had dognapped her. She informed the police, but since dog thefts are not taken as a priority, she did not have high hopes of the thieves getting caught. In the UK, dog thefts have become increasingly common due to the lucrative nature of the pet industry right now. It is reported that there has been a 20% increase in dog thefts during the lockdown.
