You must have seen people with pets like dogs, cats, or even occasionally squirrels. But have you ever met someone who keeps a wild animal as a pet—like a coyote? It's not something you come across every day, right? Coyotes, known for their survival instincts, usually roam in the forests and are not curled up on a living room couch. But what if we told you that Tim McMechan didn't just encounter a wild coyote—he casually carried her inside his home as if she were some ordinary house pet? In an incredible video shared on the @ittybittyfarm1 TikTok page, McMechan and his partner even documented the moment their cat came face-to-face with a wild coyote.

"I got a new puppy," McMechan announced as he brought the coyote into his house and introduced it to his partner, Melaina. "She's so cute! Do you think my new puppy will like my cat?" he asked, as the wild coyote let out a low growl, its eyes gleaming ominously in the darkness. McMechan, while still holding the coyote in his arms, called his pet cat and once more asked his newfound puppy, "Want to meet my kitty?" The scene then shifts to an open field, where the coyote is seen walking toward the pet cat. Yet, neither of them seemed bothered, as if they were already acquainted with each other's presence. Simultaneously, the onscreen text on the screen read, "Doesn't look like either of them care. Guess we can keep her."

Meanwhile, reacting to the astonishing TikTok video, @kaybresketch69 commented, "I would be worried about it being near your cats; I’ve had coyotes run off with multiple of my cats." @snowybritches shared, "I seriously thought this man went into the wild and successfully pspsps’d that coyote. Gave me so much hope!" Similarly, @ericgibbs6 asked, "How did you get your wife to agree to this? I have been trying for so long!" @ethan wrote, "It’s a big puppy, and yes, I think that the puppies like kitties, so they’ll be great friends!" @rula, who was a bit concerned about the whole situation, shared, "The coyote is going to steal that cat and run away so fast you all would not believe your eyes." @myshibakyo revealed, "We have a coyote around here that my cat has tamed. I found it cowering in a corner, scared of her. At first, I thought it was a dog breed I didn't recognize; now it sleeps under our deck a lot."

@karie shared, "I tried that once; I rescued 4 pups from a flooded field. Those 4 pups tried killing me when they got older." On the other hand, @jordyn shared, "Ugh! I was so scared that the video was going to end a different way! I looked at your page, and I love it. Thanks for being so kind to coyotes; some people aren’t so nice!"

If you, like many others in the comment section, were surprised by the whole incident, you should know that the man's fearless grip on what seemed to be a wild coyote was actually not that scary because it was the couple's loyal pet, Weave. It turned out that the coyote's mum had been killed by hunters when she was just a cub, and before she could go out and hunt for food herself, she would eat the tomatoes McMehan had planted. Hence began their journey together. "Weave is 4 years old now and has a special bond with Tim especially, but she welcomed me in. She is nervous around strangers but somehow knew I was an animal person and accepted me from day one," Melania shared with Newsweek
