Man’s hilarious 'pro-tip' to keep dogs off his bed has people in chiming in with their own hacks

While most pet parents adore cuddling up with their adorable furballs at night, some might not enjoy sharing their bed with a four-legged baby. If your dog also has turned your bed into their personal sleep spot, and you are craving some privacy, you're not alone. Dog owner, Dave Dolphin (@davedolphinok on TikTok) has apparently discovered a genius trick to keep the pups off the bed. Well, his hilarious "pro-tip" has not only explained the dogs' excited and playful nature but has also left everyone on social media ROFL-ing! Want to know how? Keep reading!

"So, here is a pro tip, right before you go to bed," Dolphin began as he was captured walking out of his house through the main door. "Walk out of your front door to your front porch and ring your doorbell," he explained, as loud barking filled the background. "That will get your dogs off the bed just long enough that you can crawl in and get comfortable," Dolphin added. Besides, the dog owner shared the incredibly funny video with a quirky caption that read, "When your dogs are always sleeping in your bed." The now-viral TikTok clip received an overwhelming response on social media with several people reacting to his brilliant hack.

For instance, @nikkinicole commented, "You don’t even have to walk outside. Just test the Ring on your phone and it will make them do the same thing." @ladigodiva22 commented, "Won't work in my house, I have two 75lb bullies who refuse to jump up so I gotta pick them up. Also have a 50lb pocket bully who can’t jump up so I gotta pick her up." @joe wrote, "I'm able to stay in bed, open up my front door with my phone, and then they go running." @supremejake commented, "Cracking idea! Unfortunately, it'd make mine go mental and they'd growl at every little noise all night." @lucybunny wrote, "If I open the front door my 4-legged escape artists are 3 blocks down the street. I need to let people in through the garage door." @lizmccabe wrote, "I used to do that to get my dog in the house from the backyard, he caught on real fast. Lol!"

@roxyannstarkey commented, "You sir have not met my dog! He will lay in bed with mama and bark and bark and at that point he can’t see if the person is gone so he will grumble and bark." On the other hand, @booksrcool7391 wrote, "Oh no! He won’t go to bed then. Because in this doorbell panic, he will take his stuffy with him and be in such a tizzy he will forget that and freak out until I get back up to get the thing." @phucket2024 wrote, "Pro-er tip. Train your dogs to listen. Mine sit next to the bed waiting for the command to join for snuggles." @heathenange1 wrote, "Slightly altered version is walking to the kitchen, opening the fridge and fiddling with the cheese package. Works every time." @bremlibertarian wrote, "Pro-pro-tip. Use your phone to adjust the Ring doorbell volume while standing outside your bedroom!"
