Owner gives his beloved dog one last perfect beach day and the photos have all of us tearing up

Ask any pet parent, and they would willingly move mountains to watch their four-legged babies happy, even if that's just for a moment. Just like humans, pets also experience similar emotions, forming an unbreakable bond with their owners. Likewise, Piero Temperato was also equally attached to his dog, Greta. When the man realized that his dog had only a few days left to live, he decided to do something truly incredible to honor his beloved child, Greta. Temperato took her dog to the beach and laid her on a meticulously prepared bed so she could enjoy her final days before passing away.

Although his original post on Facebook now stands related, an individual who goes by u/n8_xo on Reddit reposted the heartbreaking story. Overwhelmed with emotions, Temperato revealed why he decided to take Greta to the beach even though her condition wasn't that great. He shared, "I know I'm a madman for bringing you this far in your condition, but I wanted to give you this emotion. I know that you love to see the vastness of the sea—the same immensity of love I have for you, Greta." In the heart-wrenching pictures, Greta was captured peacefully sleeping on a pillow, wrapped in a cozy blanket. "One last journey," the caption of the now-viral Reddit post read.
Reacting to the story, u/arc_medic_trooper commented, "It is indeed sad to see that one’s best friend in this situation, but it’s also in contrast to how much we can love and care for the things we give utmost importance. I’m glad they are doing this, and it makes me happy that this animal means so much to this person." Similarly, u/1984slice wrote, "I love this story; however, I have to be honest... Seeing all of these makes me imagine my dog dying every single day, and it is very depressing. I am sorry for your loss!" u/adwonderful2369 shared, "The things we do for our dogs. I’m sure many people would say you were cruel to do this, but they don’t know." u/realistic_mushroom72 pointed out, "I don't know for how long he had her, but this tells me they had a long, loving relationship."

u/championno3130 wished, "Bon voyage. May your journey be as vast as the ocean you look upon and filled with as much love as your human showed you. And may your journey forward be filled with as much protection and affection as your best friend showed you!" On the other hand, u/ok-relationship-2746 shared, "Thank you for giving Greta one more happy moment, kind human. She'll be there to greet you when your time comes." u/forgetfulsue revealed, "Dear lord. When we knew our old lady was going to painfully pass, we took her to the family farm where she could run and frolic. I had a brain tumor that inhibited my emotions (almost got a divorce over it). I cried when she was put to sleep, but when we got her remains, I’d had it removed and was healing. My heart broke, and I broke down. I hate that in her last months with us, I was so indifferent. So glad this baby got her last happy trip."
