Playful Rottweiler tricks owner into going outside for bathroom break, turns out she had 'other plans'

Pet parents often go through the same set of challenges as human parents while raising their adorable fur babies. And just like children try to sneak out of the house, dogs too have their ways of fooling their owners. Don't believe us? Well, wait till you meet RheiaGrante (@rheiarottie on TikTok). Believing that her Rottweiler needed a bathroom break, she let Rheia outside. However, when she later heard her barking non-stop, the woman realized that Rheia had successfully tricked her. The hilarious video perfectly captured the Rottweiler's quirky and playful nature, leaving viewers in splits.

Upon hearing her continuous barking, the dog owner peeked through the window and noticed Rheia standing outside, fully focused on something at a distance. The woman then slowly raised her camera, only to realize that the full moon had kept Rheia busy all this time. The dog looked a little confused, perhaps it was her first time witnessing a fully illuminated moon. It seemed like the Rottweiler saw the Moon as a potential invader and turned her guard dog mode on. While Rheia's unbelievable banter unfolded on the screen, the overlay text read, "POV: When you lied to mummy about going to the toilet because you had other plans..." Revealing more about the moment, the woman wrote, "She seems really proud about it," in the caption.

Meanwhile, reacting to Rheia's video, @nova.the.doperman commented, "This just came on my page but I instantly thought of the Bruno Mars song "Talking to the Moon." Additionally, Rheia's beloved owner shared with Newsweek that her barking at the moon "happens from time to time." She revealed, "She always asks to go to the toilet when she needs and sometimes we sit in the living room and hear her barking at something. Sometimes it's a moon and sometimes sun."

While dogs are known for their loyalty and unconditional love, we often forget how mischievous they can get at times. Likewise, in a similar incident, a golden retriever vehemently refused to move from its spot when the owner tried to take it home. The now-viral video was shot from a window and shared by Jecuer (@jecuerr) on TikTok. The dog was seen lying flat on its back as the owner held onto it with a leash trying to get it to walk. Seemingly frustrated with his pet, the man looked helpless as he looked around, thinking of a way to move his dog. Moreover, when he couldn't think of any possible way, he even tried to drag the retriever as it lay there, still unmoving. The man then gave up and stood calmly as his dog rolled around, perhaps wanting to stay outside a little longer.
