'Rock-weiler' takes the stage during live concert and floors everyone with his moves

Sublime, the legendary American music band from California, loves dogs, and it is quite visible in their concerts. It all started when their late lead singer, Bradley Nowel, adopted an adorable Dalmatian, Lou Dog, who became the band's beloved unofficial mascot. Well, the canine was a regular sight at Sublime concerts, often seen roaming freely on the stage during live performances. Likewise, Rottweiler Melvin, another sweet member of the band, was spotted on stage during Sublime's live performance at the "Almost Acoustic Christmas" music festival. The incredibly beautiful moment was shared by Sublime(@bigwavedave48) on their official Instagram page.

In the now-viral Instagram reel, Melvin delightfully surprised the crowd by making an unexpected appearance on stage during Sublime's performance on "Same in the End." The lead singer, Jakob Nowel, paused for a moment upon seeing the Rottweiler and then continued with his captivating performance. Meanwhile, Melvin seemed to be fully enjoying the concert, as it was captured rolling around on the stage with uncontrollable excitement. After a few seconds, the dog stood up, shook its head, and continued its back rolling. The presence of Melvin definitely added an extra layer of excitement to Sublime's spectacular performance. The heartwarming video received an overwhelming response on social media.

For instance, @kylemcneil commented, "There is nothing more Sublime than a dog walking around the stage while the band plays. It just needs to happen." @masha wrote, "The fact you guys have a Rottie as the new Lou dog is EVERYTHING!" @marchic23 commented, "Rotties are the best babies. My baby girl goes everywhere with me." Similarly, @thomas wrote, "My Lab would be losing his mind, lol! I am surprised that he was so chill with all that volume." @johnnyhirth wrote, "The energy of a son laying down Papa’s legendary tracks live all while that Long Beach vibe just spews out so naturally is surreal. A beautiful moment for the books." @noahh wrote, "I love this dog more than any person I have ever known." @markmelton wrote, "You do not know but that dance moves the dog was doing, it’s called, 'Scratch your back.' Yeah, get him some cardboard. Yeah, he will spend on his head."

@nickpetty wrote, "The dog's ears are fine, or at least his. Melvin goes toward the music by choice I have seen it. He’s a unique dog it’s not for all dogs but he’s a beast I’ve walked him too lol. He’s a great pup."While the majority of people absolutely loved Melvin's intervention in mid-concert, many raised concerns about the canine being exposed to high-volume music. For example, @allie_cat_cumba wrote, "Hopefully, they have earplugs in the dog's ear. The sound is very damaging to them. I think the Lou dog went deaf." @cesar wrote, "Had I been in the crowd, I would have been ok for me if they stopped the show for a few minutes to rub that belly. You must rub your belly!" @kikir wrote, "Cute, but seriously damaging for dogs' ears, they can hear sounds four times further away than humans and hear much higher frequencies too. Guessing that dog is deaf by this point as it doesn’t seem to mind."
