Senior husky searching for owner gets confused after realizing they had been in the room all along

Needless to say, dogs are the ultimate comedy kings of the animal world. One minute, they can be gazing at you with those deep, soulful eyes, their expression so focused as if you are the answer to life’s greatest mysteries. And the very next moment, these furry animals transform into a whirlwind of energy, spinning in circles as they chase their tails or try to catch their shadows religiously. In one such funny instance, Moon (@moon_theorigional), an adorable 13-year-old husky, became an overnight social media sensation when its owner, Laura, captured the hilarious moment the pup failed to realize she had been in the same room for a while.

As Moon was busy relaxing on its little bed in one corner of the room, its ears perked up in excitement listening to Laura’s voice, instantly snapping to attention. Hopping into action with its tail wagging furiously, the playful husky began circling the room, eagerly searching for its beloved owner. The sight of the adorable pup, utterly baffled by the mysterious voice with no visible source, was both heartwarming and hilarious to watch. As Moon set off on a mission to find Laura, the owner explained in a voice-over that her husky wasn’t suffering from any hearing or vision problems. In reality, Laura had been up on a ladder, painting, when Moon had walked into the room without realizing she was already there.

"Oh! Bless your heart!" the woman said, struggling to hold back her uncontrollable laughter. At one point in the video, Moon glanced right at Laura, only to quickly look away—either playfully stretching the game of hide and seek a bit longer or completely confused by what it had just seen. "Hi! You looked right at me. Hello! Oh, beauty no brain. I am right here," Laura said. However, towards the end of the video, Moon finally spotted Laura perched on the ladder and jumped around in the room in pure excitement. The video received an amazing response on social media, leaving people awe-struck at Moon's innocence. 

For instance, @speculo_vos wrote, "'All beauty no brains' her tail dropped. Man, the voices today are mean. She's so cute!" Similarly, @chiefcurls had an interesting observation about Moon and commented, "I think she's doing the 'Call your pet name and pretend not to hear or see them when they're next to you' owner edition." @anneeblen wrote, "Those two brain cells are doing EVERYTHING in their power to make sure they absolutely do NOT touch for even a moment." @franchesca commented, "She may not be blind or hard of hearing…But she sure can’t see too well and hearing is not easy."

On the other hand, @damien commented, "I know you said she's not hard of hearing or blind but I want to make sure you know animals with all white fur tend to have a higher chance of having/developing both so check on her ears and eyes often." @kitsu commented, "I know you said she's not hard of hearing/blind but considering her pale nose and white fur it is quite likely she might have limited hearing and sight! It's really common for white dogs." Meanwhile, talking to Newsweek about the hilarious incident, Laura said, "I'll play hide and seek regularly and she's the perfect dog to play that game with. She's (Moon) always been a little dense so this behavior is not out of the norm."
