We all have a special someone in our lives who gets to experience all our milestones with us. For some, it's their sibling, while for others, that someone special is their beloved animal companion. For them, their pets aren't just animals but very much a part of their family, without whom they just can't imagine their existence. Likewise, when Nicole Diodati got engaged, she couldn't wait to share this exciting news with her four-legged companion, her childhood dog. The beautiful moment shared by Nicole's sister, Kristina, who goes by @kristinadiodati on TikTok, beautifully captured the depth of their relationship, leaving everyone on the internet in awe.

The dog was walking on the beach when Nicole went running towards him to spill the most special news of her life, the beginning of something new. The dog, too, came running towards her, with his wagging tail hinting at his exhilaration. Nicole immediately bent down, gently caressing the dog and showering him with the love he deserved. The scene then shifted to an endearing picture of Nicole holding her childhood dog while posing with a man, who was possibly her fiancé. The beautiful picture, perhaps, was taken right after Nicole broke her engagement to the pup, making him an equal part of her new life. "A really special weekend," Kristina wrote, reflecting upon the heartfelt moment.

A report by Newsweek reveals that a study commissioned by Amazon Handmade and conducted by OnePoll, involving 2,000 dog owners, claimed that around two-thirds of people want their pups' involvement in their wedding day. While 50% want their dogs as ring bearers and 17% of owners want their pets to be present at their wedding as flower girls, 9% want them as their best men. Besides, the study disclosed that many couples wouldn't think before spending an average of $75 to get their dogs ready for the event.

The adorable incident revealing the special bond Kristina's sister shared with their family dog received an outpouring of love on social media. Reacting to the video, @lexilarsen_ revealed, "My childhood dog of 19 years just passed away last month, and I will get married in June. He’s seen all my milestones and my engagement. I know he’ll be watching the wedding from above, too." @user_50284920184 shared, "Oh, how I wish my childhood dog could have met my now husband. So lucky that you guys got to share this moment." Similarly, another user, @queen.mia, said, "I’m sure he appreciated it. I tell my dog everything! They just want to be included."

Oh, how I wish I could reach every milestone with him." @melissa revealed, "Got my dog at 13. She saw so many milestones of mine. I've had her for 15 years. I miss my bestie, but I have a photo of me in my wedding dress with her." Meanwhile, @jasd, who was overwhelmed with the sweet video, wrote, "Congratulations to the beautiful couple. There are so many tears streaming down my face, just such a sweet gesture."
