Soul-dog: Playing with shelter dogs leads girl to older canine whose paw she can't let go of

We meet countless people every day, but only a few become an integral part of us, making our lives feel incomplete without them. This is exactly what happened to a girl who immediately fell head-over-heels with a dog and realized she wasn't going home alone. In a heartwarming video shared on Bruno the Soul Dog's (@bruno.thesouldog) Instagram page, a woman captured how an unexpected stop at an adoption event led to her daughter meeting what she believes is her "soul dog."

Initially, the mother-daughter duo had planned to just spend some quality time with the dogs and leave, but, surprisingly, the young girl met Bruno, a senior dog, and instantly formed a rock-solid bond with him. "I don't want to leave him. I want him," she confessed and wondered if she could pay money to take the adorable dog with her. Just like the girl, Bruno, too, looked equally excited about meeting her, as he kept giving her his paw, as though requesting her to take him home. After meeting the elderly dog, the girl went back, but couldn't stop thinking about Bruno, and hence she came back — this time, fully committed to adopting him.

"Have you reunited? Did she come back for you?" the mother asked, as she captured her daughter sitting near Bruno's kennel. Finally, even though they had no plans of adopting a pet, they adopted Bruno, proving that sometimes, the most crucial decisions in life are made unexpectedly. "Do we have trust? I think we have trust, right?" the girl asked, and to this, Bruno responded by giving her his paws, emphasizing his deep love for her. "These moments sealed the deal for us, and we took this sweet soul dog home," her mother revealed. This beautiful story echoes how most dogs have an incredible way of connecting with humans almost immediately.

At one point, you can see Bruno, the senior dog, sitting with his back to the young girl. This, as per Off Leash Blog, is a typical instinctive dog behavior, indicating their trust in somebody. To add, the report further claims that another explanation for this instinctual behavior is the dog trying to protect their owner by putting themselves in a prime position. These subtle gestures highlight how Bruno's profound trust in the girl, who later adopted him, began to show in the most strange yet beautiful way.
