This Border Collie tried to 'eat' the entire ocean, and the internet is loving every second of it

Beaches aren't a paradise for humans—dogs also love them just as much. The open space, the sandy shores, and the refreshing waves make for the perfect playground where they can run, dig, and splash around freely without any restrictions. On a similar note, Shanti (@reynard.the.house.wolf on TikTok), a playful Border Collie, experienced pure joy when she visited the beach. With soft sand beneath her tiny paws, the salty breeze, and the endless waves to chase, she had the best time of her life, literally trying to eat the entire ocean.

In the heartwarming TikTok video, the dog's owner captured Shanti standing amidst the waves, lunging at the rolling surf as if she were trying to engulf the entire ocean with each crashing wave. The little canine was so excited that she leaped into the surf as Shanti embraced the endless dance of the sea. "Shanti is busy at work," the pet parent shared in the video caption. 

Meanwhile, reacting to Shanti's TikTok video, @emilymichalak57 shared, "My dog did this when he was a puppy and proceeded to uncontrollably pee for like the next 5 hours because he herded so much of Lake Michigan." Similarly, @carolinaacontreras revealed, "Haha, my dog got so sick from doing that; he apparently swallowed a bunch of water while chomping at the waves." To this, Shanti's owner responded and shared, "Oh! This is Lake Superior, the cleanest of the Great Lakes. We never had a problem!" @lacezr commented, "Now all I can imagine is pups around the world causing the waves to break, keeping the land safe!" @amc_226 wrote, "It's giving Ariel on the Rocks!" @nfwmbxtch said, "I love to see a woman with a hobby!"

In a similar story, a woman who goes by u/quigongiveIttoya on Reddit shared a wholesome video, capturing her senior dog enjoying the beach just after taking arthritis medication while on vacation. "I started my senior dog on arthritis medication before we vacationed to a place he used to love. It absolutely melts me to see him acting like a puppy again!" the dog owner shared in the caption. In the endearing Reddit clip, the ailing dog was seen wagging his tail with uncontrollable excitement. After a brief moment, he even looked back at his owner, perhaps waiting for instructions before running endlessly on the seashore.

It was almost as if the dog had completely forgotten about his health condition and was enjoying himself just like a baby who has got his favorite toy. Simultaneously, in the background, the canine's human companion could be heard motivating him to enjoy the moment as she said, "You got it!" Moreover, while responding to the comment, the dog's mom shared, "He is such a good dog. Pet insurance has been worth every penny for him! It’s amazing how much a pill can improve our pets’ quality of life, but this would’ve been so much more complicated if his medication wasn’t covered."
