Animals are just undoubtedly incredible. Just when you think you have seen it all, they will find new ways of surprising you with their astonishing abilities. One such remarkable trait that animals possess is forming unusual interspecies friendships. A viral video shared by Jase Broadhead (@jasebroadhead on TikTok) captured a heartwarming sight of a hare playing with a herd of deer in the snow.

Broadhead revealed that it was 7 in the morning, during a snowy walk near his home in Airmyn near Goole, when he managed to capture this precious moment. In the video, the quirky and playful hare was seen running back and forth, trying to make the herd of deer chase it. Moreover, the man said that he could have spent more time watching the adorable adventure but the herd of deer and the hair went away from their sight, into another field. "So lovely and wholesome to watch," read the onscreen text while the cute banter unfolded on the screen. "It's not just us who like the snow," Broadhead added, reflecting more about the incident.

Interestingly, the man shared in the comments that despite living in an area full of dear, this was the best moment he had witnessed so far. He wrote, "We are blessed with fields full of deer but this was the best scene I have ever seen with the hare, melts my heart!" The video received an overwhelming response on social media, leaving people awe-struck at the beautiful scene. For instance, reacting to the clip, @shanice01566 commented, "And this shows us when animals are left alone they can run happy and free! God love them all!" @allanknifton commented, "Nature and life at its best are so beautiful." @matt commented, "Absolutely beautiful x love animals, so special seeing them play in the snow." On the other hand, @kathleen.bromley commented, "Beautiful to see no humans around."

Meanwhile, Broadhead initially thought it was a rabbit that was playing with the deer but later realized that it was a hare after he read some comments on social media. Talking to BBC, he shared, "A few experts on the post have said it was a hare rather than a rabbit. Either way, it's still very cute."

In another story, Afra, a white-tailed deer and Alice, a small white rabbit from Chase Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservancy became inseparable, as reported by PEOPLE. The iconic duo spend most of their time grazing, snuggling and watching out for one another. "They spend a lot of time together. They watch out for each other, just like human friends. One always knows where the other is. They may get separated for a little while, but they always come back together.," Nina Vassallo, the 61-year-old founder of the sanctuary shared with the outlet.

Notably, Afra arrived at the sanctuary after the deer lost its mother in a car accident. On the other hand, Alice too arrived around the same time. "She was someone's pet bunny. Her owner came here for a tour and they saw we have this big, open habitat. It's three acres and they wanted her to have the ability to run all around in the grass and dig tunnels," Vassallo said.
