Who needs a 24/7 nanny when your dog can take care of the baby better than most humans? Sounds like a story from a children's book; well, surprisingly, it's not. An incredible video shared on Jeff and Emily Mabey's (@greenvalleyaussies) official Instagram page captured an adorable dog bottle-feeding a 7-month-old baby. Yes, that's right! The couple's pet, named Dusty, is not your regular guard canine but a perfect family dog that everyone needs, especially those with little kids.

As captured, Dusty sat near the baby, holding the milk bottle in his mouth, while the newborn enjoyed her little mealtime. Both Dusty and his baby sister were equally involved in that very moment as if it was a very normal sight. Unlike most dogs, Dusty was patient, and not even once did he try to be aggressive while handling the baby. "The nanny position has been filled. Thank you for all the inquiries, but we felt we found the perfect applicant," the couple shared in the Instagram reel caption. Moreover, the dog's parent shared that Dusty had been an integral part of their family for 11 years and shared a wonderful relationship with the kids. "Lots of responsibilities around here, with 5 children… but we think Dusty can handle it," they added.

The now-viral video received an overwhelming response on the platform with over 2 million views online. Meanwhile, @robann_thenanny commented, "This dog is like, 'This bish, making me do the work. I had things to bark at this afternoon.'" @jlar28 shared, "This is one of the most precious things I’ve seen." @kayakerz123 pointed out, "This rules out Labradors. They will take a bottle for themselves, a new toy with a flavor." @mccluretheresa wrote, "Love him so much! He looks like he takes his job seriously!" @jst4now commented, "Oh My Dusty! That is so sweet and how about the best dog to fill in as a nanny?" @amycr62 said, "Dogs love having a job and this one is the best." @justmemontse, another dog parent, revealed, "I’m afraid my black lab would find a way to drink it himself."

On the other hand, @gymonplains wrote, "This is amazing. What a way to start my day. Nice job, Dusty. Does he clean too? Lol!" @akshaya43 said, "The best nanny in the world. Same way my baby has 3 nannies, all with different jobs." @jhonsc1812 shared, "What a beauty! The best companion the baby could have for sure." @celine_chia75, who seemed amazed by the dog's behavior, asked, "How come he doesn't drool like other dogs when they open their mouths?" @riverdalereindeer commented, "Immediately I thought of Nana from 'Peter Pan.'"

On a related note, Emily revealed that Dusty joined their family soon after she and her husband returned from their honeymoon. And, ever since then, their dog had been helping them raise their 5 kids. "He does just about anything we ask of him. He has admirers all over the world for his kind, loving, sweet nature," she shared with Newsweek. Talking more about Dusty's gentle behavior with kids, Emily said, "He isn't crazy or overbearing—doesn't lick them in the face or get too excited—just calmly lets them pet him. It's the sweetest thing!"
