Wild parrot named Pablo befriends a guy — then it brings the whole gang of 30 birds to meet him
Animals are incredible and so are their distinctive ways of connecting with mankind. While humans might not always understand how animals communicate, they too have a deep emotional quotient. Take, for instance, the heartwarming story of a Lorikeet called Pablo. The wild parrot made a unique, heartfelt connection with a man named Max and then decided to surprise him with his gang of 30 beautiful psittacines. The wholesome story highlighting the adorable bond between man and the wild was also featured on The Dodo's official YouTube channel.
"I felt like I was in a movie time," Max spoke reflecting on his precious bond with the Lorikeets. Further, he revealed that one fine day, a few parrots unexpectedly flew into his yard and sat there, chirping in his presence."With more time that passed, the more comfortable they got," Max added. The man, who now runs an Instagram page, Lorikeet Mafia (@lorikeetmafia), shared that he often maintains his safe distance from the birds and lets them form the connection. Interestingly, Max shared that Pablo, the head of the Lorikeets' group, was the one who initiated the bond. "He was the one who used to come down and smash his beak on the window, see how my day was at work, wanting to hang out with me," he said describing it as a "special thing".

Max and Pablo's tight bond was evident as they were captured while the lorikeet sat comfortably on the man's head, scribbling on his back. "It does take time. It takes trust. It takes respect to ensure that they are safe, happy and free. We are all connected," Max shared while the screen played glimpses of him bonding with the Lorikeets. While the man made it clear that the Lorikeets or as he calls them Mafias roam freely in nature, shared in one of his Q/A sessions that they visit him twice a day. "Twice a day! Some let me pat them, but most bite me when I try to touch."
In another story depicting an unusual friendship, Ryan Phillips from Virginia met Jenna, a Holstein calf, who was saved from being slaughtered in 2020. But little did he know that this was the beginning of a wholesome relationship. It all started when the dairy farmer's daughter convinced her father to find homes for the Holstein calf and its twin brother instead of killing them. Interestingly, Phillips arrived in North Carolina and adopted Jenna.
"I fed her three bottles a day for 6 months and slept with her in the barn many nights to make sure she never felt lonely. Without her mother cow to pass her immunities through her milk, Jenna ended up being sick a lot in the first few months she was with me. I worried about her constantly as she lay sad and sickly with her head in my lap, with frequent vet visits to help her pull through," Phillips shared with Reader's Digest. He gave the calf all the comfort that any human baby required, ensuring her well-being. Jenna and Phillips are now inseparable, describing the cow as a "1000-pound puppy, Phillips revealed that their favorite activity together is to play chase.
