Remember when you'd sneak your favorite treat from the refrigerator when Mom wasn't looking? Well, Ashleigh Hertzig (@tailsofaguidedog on Instagram), a woman with Albinism, had a similar experience—but with a hilarious twist. Her mischievous guide dog, Yuri, saw an opportunity and using Hertzig's blindness to his advantage, sneaked away with a jar of peanut butter while she wasn’t paying attention! The now-viral video received an overwhelming response on social media, with over 3 million views online.

Once during their walk, Yuri was captured carefully trotting along, a jar of peanut butter clutched in his mouth. His cautious movements, almost like a skilled thief, seemed like he was trying to get away with his mischief unnoticed."

Meanwhile, @onesmalljester commented, "My therapist's guide dog would steal plushies from stores they went into, and stores would just let him because he was a good boy doing a good job!" @jeanine shared, "This is priceless. Dear Yuri, the look on his face! He knows he's doing wrong, but he can't help himself. What a precious memory." Similarly, @chris, another dog parent, revealed, "This is SO my dog! A couple of weeks ago he swiped a Whimzee Alligator chew from his friend's house! Listened like a good boy when I put it up on a table away from everything. I told him to leave it, and he did. We get home, and he’s wagging his tail down the driveway. Damn, the alligator was in his mouth!" @gwenyth wrote, "As a girl who has a retired guide dog and is a labrador, I can guarantee he’s tried this at some point in his working life. Lol!"

On the other hand, @timswezey commented, "I had a service dog that would try to steal stuffed animals by hiding them in his mouth. That didn't work, so he figured out that all he had to do was drop them on the bottom shelf of the shopping cart. He nearly cleared checkout, but I saw the white tiger and bought it for him to reward him for using his brain. After that, I made sure I bought a small stuffed animal or treat so that he wouldn't shoplift." @mariajohannesson had an interesting interpretation of Yuri's point of view and said, "That is so cute; he was worried that both of you might need a snack." @ccfluff wrote, "He wanted a picnic on your walk; probably couldn't reach the bread!"

Notably, Hertzing unfortunately lost Yuri at the age of 12. And after his demise, the grieving owner had been reminiscing about his memories with heartfelt posts on Instagram. "The way he was breathing sounded off, so I felt for his nose to make sure he was OK, and that's when I discovered it. I just laughed. I took it from him for the duration of our walk, but once we got back inside, I gave it back to him to lick," Hertzig shared with Newsweek. However, this was not the first time her late dog had picked up something without Hertzing's knowledge. This one time, Yuri had picked up a baguette in Central Park, she revealed. "Someone walking by was like, 'Hey, do you know your dog has an entire baguette in its mouth?' I did not know," Hertzig said
