Woman checks CCTV to see what her dog's up to and the internet's ordering her to never leave home again

Who says you are ever alone when you have a dog? Your adorable and loyal companion adores you beyond imagination. While life may pull you in different directions, to them, you are their entire universe. With their surprisingly loving and playful nature, they can make every moment worth living. Speaking of surprises, a woman who initially feared that her chihuahua, Honey(@honeyythechi on Instagram), would "tear up the house" in her absence was left stunned when she later checked the camera. The heart-touching Instagram reel received an amazing response on the platform, with over 1 million views online.

The heartwarming video began with the chihuahua peacefully sitting on a couch while the overlay text read, "Me thinking she's going to tear up the house when I am gone, but I look at the camera, and she is doing this instead." While the pet parent was away, Honey, the sweet chihuahua, was captured waiting by the door, looking a bit sad—perhaps she was missing her beloved human companion. Notably, while most people adored the incredibly beautiful video, a few expressed concern for Honey's emotional well-being, questioning her owner for leaving the puppy alone at home. However, the pet parent responded to the concerns and clarified, "Just want to let everyone know that Honey has lots of toys and sleeps in our bed! She will get a baby sister sometime soon. I’m also a stay-at-home wife so don’t you worry, she gets lots of treats and kisses."
Meanwhile, reacting to the wholesome video, @ashleymeoni commented, "Not to be dramatic, but I would quit my job immediately and never leave the house again." Similarly, @jordynmardis wrote, "I am usually not a fan of chihuahuas, but this is the cutest one I've ever seen." @jamiehandlovits wrote, "I check the camera and watch my dog stare at the door for probably 80% of my work day." @laurendmartin, another dog parent who had a similar experience, shared, "I made the mistake of putting a blink camera set up to watch our dog when we were at work. All I saw was him either sitting in a chair in front of a window, looking sad, or howling (our dog is very quiet normally and rarely barks) incessantly. Which then makes me cry. I was trying to talk to him through my phone one day, and my boss looked and said, 'Oh my god. Just go get him and bring him to work!' (I’m very lucky that I can do that now and then in my line of work.)"

@jelalatham commented, "You have to quit your job immediately and spend the rest of your life with her." @hollyjbalmer, who was seemingly moved by Honey's video, shared, "Reminds me of that quote that’s like 'Your pet is only a part of your life, but to them, you’re their entire world.'" @saudade confessed, "This is a legitimate reason not to have a dog for me. I won’t make it they’ll fire me at work, and then we’ll both be homeless." @brooke commented, "We took our dog on vacation. Left him in the Airbnb for like 20 minutes and he started howling till we got back. And it wasn’t his normal happy howl, it was sad and low."
