Parenting is not a one-size-fits-all formula, and this explains why couples have different ways of raising children. Usually, in every household, one parent sets ground rules, and the other breaks them. Naturally, those who are more lenient and give kids the freedom to be a little mischievous easily win the 'favorite parent' award in almost every household. Now, what if we told you that just like humans, dogs, too, have their one go-to person, whom they love and adore the most? This profound truth was once again proved when a dog father captured his girlfriend accusing their dog, Pancho, of loving him more. The clip, posted on Pancho's (@panchothediva) Instagram page, received an overwhelming response with over 2 million views online.

"Why are you mad right now?" the man asked his partner, and to this, the woman responded by pointing out how their dog only seems to be obsessed with him. "He doesn't like me. He is obsessed with you. I am over it," she said, while the man captured the puppy, Pancho, sitting on his lap, enjoying his company. She further went on to accuse the adorable little dog of being 'sexist,' saying, "He is honestly sexist! Like you are the leader of the pack, we get it, and that's just so annoying!"

Just like Pancho, most dogs have different reasons for loving one person more than the rest. Notably, 'oxytocin,' a bonding hormone, as per the National Library of Medicine, plays a vital role in forming strong bonds. The report claims that owners who show more physical affection towards their dogs have a higher level of oxytocin, and this, perhaps, is the reason why people spending more time with their canines become their absolute favorite.

Meanwhile, the Instagram video quickly went viral, leaving social media users in stitches. For instance, one user who goes by @earthembrace on TikTok commented, "Girl, you can take that power back. Take him for walkies, feed him, tell him he’s the best boy, and only let him enter the house AFTER you! Don’t be a victim; be the alpha." Similarly, another person, @d.u.i.l.y, shared, "I understand you 100%. My dog does the same with his mom! I feed him, walk him, play with him, and give him treats, but as soon as Mom gets home, he forgets all about Daddy." @ab101997 revealed, "I did this trick where I used to feed my girlfriend’s dog bacon until he loved me more than her, but she never knew."

On the other hand, @theeasyrider117 said, "Some people are just animal people. This happened to me and my wife: 2 dogs and one cat, and all three hung with me. She was at home with them all day while I was at work for twelve hours a day, six days a week. She picked out one more kitty and demanded that I leave it alone, so it would love her. I did that, and nine months later, she passed away. My wife is dead, and I have a cat that never grew to know me. I never fed, petted, or talked to it. This cat was supposed to be her cat, and now, I have to start all over with this cat. So if they ever demand that you leave a pet alone, don't."
