'Worried' owner catches golden retriever's hyperactive shenanigans when home alone on camera

Golden retrievers are undeniably adorable but their quirky nature can sometimes feel like managing a whirlpool of joy. Although living with these superactive furballs can be fun and exciting, leaving them alone at home can be disastrous. Similarly, when a pet parent left her playful golden retriever, Nala Bear (@golden_nala_bear on TikTok), alone at home, she expected it to be a "good girl" but was shocked when she checked the pet cam. The now-viral video has gained significant popularity on social media, surpassing over 600k views online. 

The woman was already worried that her hyperactive puppy might wreak havoc in her absence, chewing on everything in sight. Later, when she checked the cameras, the golden retriever was captured gleefully jumping around the house, turning it into a mess. "Me worried she was going to chew everything we weren't home. This is her when I check the cameras," read the onscreen text as her owner shared glimpses of Nala Bear's chaotic home-alone diaries. From ripping apart the sofa covers to shredding curtains, the golden retriever seemed to be on a destructive mission. Besides, the pet parent revealed that despite having a million stimulating toys, her dog was more attracted to the furniture and curtains. Moreover, replying to comments, she wrote, "She has about 20 plus enrichment toys and puzzle treat dispensers. She is just a normal golden puppy."

Meanwhile, reacting to the TikTok video, @w.t.f_is_going_on_ commented, "I am so glad I started crate training my dogs, I no longer have to worry about destroyed things or them possibly getting sick from something." @instagr_annmarie, another dog owner resonated with Nala Bear's video and wrote, "This is so real as I lay here with my 1-year-old golden retriever who cannot be let out of human sight or she destroys everything in her path but she's just a baby." Similarly, @koch4321 wrote, "Omg! We have been thinking of letting our lab out of the kennel since he’s over a year now and this is my biggest fear lol!" @cmarie90232 wrote, "I had a dog who lived to be 15 and she needed to be inside the crate till age 13. I got a pet cam for my next pup and by 1 year old she was behaving herself. 

@mariana57gee commented, "We have learned the hard way and when we leave our alone we need to put everything away that is within her reach. It is exhausting but I got tired of coming home to everything destroyed." @enzvul wrote, "My dog still does this and she’s almost 2! I put her in the crate even if I am gone for 10 minutes now. I have gone through MANY pillows, tissue boxes, phone cords, you name it." On the other hand, @caitlinnjanee wrote, "I gave my golden puppy EVERY enrichment toy, crate trained him, he had my other dog to play with and he still went through this phase. It was short-lived thank god but it was definitely testing." @thunder4601 wrote, "My classic is when my friends bought me some throw pillows and took me to dinner as a housewarming gift. The pillows were shredded when we all returned for drinks after dinner."
