Most owners are careful about keeping their pets hydrated, especially during summer. From filling their water bowls regularly to feeding them hydrating food, pet parents do everything to help their furry companions beat the heat. However, we often forget about the helpless, innocent animals roaming on the streets, who are left to suffer alone in the scorching heat. In most urban areas, natural water resources like ponds and rivers are contaminated, making them dangerous for the animals to consume. This explains why countless animals struggle, deprived of both food and water. But, in difficult times like these, some unacknowledged heroes step in for their rescue, and one such empathetic individual is this man (u/soloflow786 on Reddit), now called 'the bird whisperer' on the internet.

In the now-viral video, the man captures the adorable, chirpy parakeets perched on his balcony. From his balcony railing to the plants, the birds can be seen everywhere, spreading across the place, as if they owned it. One look at the video, and people might think the man owns them all, but it's actually his one small, kind gesture that makes all parakeets flock to his balcony. Every day, the man fills water in a small feeding bowl attached to his balcony railing, and that's what attracts the beautiful birds. His house, perhaps, feels like a small resting place to the parakeets who come to quench their thirst. "I wasn't expecting that many!" the man wrote in the video caption.

The incredible video received an amazing response on social media, leaving people awestruck. Meanwhile, reacting to the Reddit clip, u/morgankgb commented, "I tried to count them, but I gave up halfway through." Similarly, reacting to the wholesome post, u/grindlmichel wrote, "I guess it's nice having a parrot army, lol!" Looking at so many parakeets perched comfortably on the man's balcony, another user, u/psyonicpanda, said, "I guess they live here now." On the other hand, u/818a suggested, "There has to be food involved."

To this, another person who goes by u/treesbentwithsnow on Reddit pointed out, "There is a small empty feeder hanging on the porch ceiling, but certainly would not accommodate that many, just like the water dish is too tiny." While most people on social media seemed fascinated by the man's kind gesture, some joked about it, calling it a recipe for disaster. For instance, u/r3pl4y commented, "I wouldn't want to clean that balcony." u/oraclelec13 wrote, "He must be very popular with the downstairs neighbors." u/chatty_manatee said, "I mean you’re just asking for trouble with that amount of water."

In another story, a lorikeet named Pablo befriended a guy, Max, and then brought the whole gang to meet him. It all began when one day, a few lorikeets, surprisingly, landed in his yard and sat there, chirping in his presence. Talking to The Dodo, Max, fondly called the 'Lorikeet Mafia,' shared that as time passed, the birds started becoming more comfortable around him, and he, too, maintained his safe distance from them.  "It does take time. It takes trust. It takes respect to ensure that they are safe, happy, and free. We are all connected," Max revealed. Of course, he was close to every single one birds in the group, but one in particular, called Pablo, stole his heart first. In fact, Pablo was the one who initiated their bond. "He was the one who used to come down and smash his beak on the window, see how my day was at work, wanting to hang out with me," Max added.
