Watching your kids grow up around pets and forming strong bonds built on mutual love, trust and compassion is incredibly special. Being raised along with pets, especially dogs, fosters a sense of responsibility, empathy, and kindness in kids, making them responsible individuals. Besides all the good things, children sometimes can become extremely mischievous, picking up their canine siblings' habits and playful nature. Similarly, Janaye Johanna Stirn, a mother who goes by @janayejohannastir on TikTok, shared a similar instance, highlighting her son Dawson's heartwarming bond with their dog, Sage.

Stirn had been seeing her one-year-old son, Dawson, putting socks in his mouth now and then. However, until very recently, she didn't realize where her son picked up this bizarre habit from. Well, in the video, the woman began by sharing a glimpse of her toddler son carrying socks in his mouth and smiling as if this was something quite normal for him to do. "I was wondering why he always carries socks in his mouth," the overlay text on the screen read just before the scene shifted to an unexpectedly surprising reason. It turned out Dawson, Stirn's son, had actually seen his elder canine sibling, Sage, pick up socks in her mouth and hence picked up the habit from there. Simultaneously, the text on the screen read, "Then I realized he wants to be just like his older sibling."

Reflecting more on her son's bond with her dog, Sage, Stirn called them "Sock siblings" in the video caption. Meanwhile, reacting to the wholesome TikTok video, @caseymama86 commented, "Omg my mama bear heart! Such a pure representation of how much dogs impact our lives, even from such a young age! Just precious!" @gesouthern wrote, "My dog is obsessed with our socks! I’m currently 33 weeks, and now I’m excited to see if our little girl will do the same, lol!" @maddierichey24, another dog parent, shared, "My son does the same; we have three dogs, lol!" @alex_dekowski, who was seemingly moved by the hilarious video, revealed, "Omg stop it. I can’t handle how cute!"

In a similar story, Frank and Erice Derise posted an Instagram video, sharing all the reasons they think their son, Frankie, who grew up with their dog Beau (@beaunosebones), believes he's a dog. In the video, the parents shared all the unconventional habits that Frankie had picked up from his canine best friend, proving that he had forgotten that he is a human and not a dog. Simultaneously, the text on the screen read, "All the reasons we believe our son thinks he's a dog." In the first scene, Frankie was playing with his dog, but with his tongue sticking out just like Beau. The couple then went on to share a quirky picture of the duo posing with carbon copy expressions. Moreover, just like Beau's obsession with fetching games, Frankie too loves it and is often seen carrying a toy in his mouth. "He just wants to be like his big brother," the parents shared in the caption.
