Tired pup sleeps like a baby the moment he hugs his dad — and it's proof dogs love harder than humans

They say you sleep peacefully next to the person you love the most, and for Air Jordon, an adorable golden retriever, we guess that special someone is his father, whom he loves more than words can ever convey. Well, a beautiful TikTok video (@torimpugh) of a golden retriever puppy shutting down like a robot the second he hugs his father is proof that dogs love harder than humans.

The man was resting, perhaps on his couch with his dog right next to him, and within seconds, the golden retriever fell asleep as if his dad's mere presence brought him the peace he had been waiting for all day long. With his one arm on his father's chest, the cuddle bug snuggled close to his father and slept like a baby, knowing it's the safest place in the world. Meanwhile, the young man, fully aware of how torn out his poor boy was, held his hand, letting his unconditional love flow through his fingertips. "When you zoom so hard, you fall asleep in 4 seconds," the overlay text read, revealing how a furry ball who was all energetic moments ago was now fast asleep.

Interestingly, Air Jordon isn't the only one who experiences sound sleep with his owner. Woof reports that a 2017 study by the Mayo Clinic reveals that dogs sleeping in the same room as their parents experience more consistent sleep patterns. Interestingly, it's not just the dogs who benefit from sleeping with their owners; rather, sleeping with their pups can benefit humans too! The report claims that it reduces stress, lowers cortisol levels, increases oxytocin, the love hormone, and improves sleep quality in people, especially those who suffer from anxiety or loneliness.

Meanwhile, the heartwarming clip of the golden retriever resting on his daddy-dearest's arms received an outpouring of love on the internet, especially from other pet owners.
