Woman claims her pup is so cute that ‘traffic slows down’ to stare at him — then he showed up on camera

A pet owner opened up about how her dog’s cuteness had altered the course of her life. When she recounted past encounters with strangers who marveled at her adorable puppy, people almost believed she was boasting until they saw him. One of the more surprising experiences for the TikTok user, who goes by @letsgetdiizii, was when her dog actually slowed down traffic as bystanders stopped to admire her pup. As proof, she asked viewers to see for themselves in a viral clip with 4.7 million views. People hated to admit it, but she was right.

“So, I got a puppy,” the pet parent said, “Alright, I folded because it was so cute.” Unable to resist the pup’s cuteness, she brought him home only to realize the world was in agreement with her decision. “Little did I know, he is so cute that I get stopped by every person that sees this dog,” she said, adding that it was difficult to go “anywhere” with her pup because of people’s reactions. “We slowed traffic down the other day because this dog is so cute,” she emphasized. Then came the big reveal. She quickly turned the camera towards her furry pal, and naturally, all her insinuations fell into place. She introduced her dog as Toaster, who walked up to her with gleaming eyes and tongue out.

Toaster, a mix of a Husky and Chow Chow, looked cheerful while his owner explained he was only 14 weeks old and still pooped around the house. “And he bites really hard,” she warned, handing over a table leg for him to chew on. “When your dog is so cute, traffic literally slows down because people keep looking at your windows,” an overlay text read. The post was liked by 869,000 people while thousands of others tried to guess the dog’s breed in the comments. @facedalton speculated, “He’s got at least a little Chow Chow in him, right? This is my girl when she was little. People thought she was a bear.” “I knew it was a Chowski because mine has a brother that looks identical to yours!” said @gothdogmommy.

Many viewers were baffled by how cute Toaster actually was and penned exaggerated notes of affection for him. @javasparkles mused, “Not to be dramatic, but I would stand in traffic for Toaster.” “I’m sorry, but if I saw Toaster in the wild, I would stop immediately,” admitted @faithbrownbates. “He is indeed a show stopper,” marked @spencer.says. According to Celtic Star Kennels, a Chowski is a cross between a Siberian Husky and a Chow Chow. Huskies are known for their size and strength, requiring ample exercise and attention, whereas Chow Chows are smaller and more laid back. They are very intelligent but can also be stubborn and temperamental. The contrasting features create a perfect blend of characteristics in a Chowski and make great family pets.
