Alyssa has been a foster parent to Tripp for more than 7 months and recently put him up for adoption. She shared how Tripp was initially scared of everything when he first came, and he had just gotten his leg amputated. "Now he is a happy dog, joy of the neighbor, and I wish I could keep him but I know that I am supposed to keep doing fostering and it is just one of those times when you know it is the right choice but it doesn't make it an easy decision."

The owner's profile has numerous clips of Tripp showcasing the strong bond between him and Alyssa. In one post, she shares how Tripp's imperfections make him more lovable, stating, "All the things about Tripp that make him different but make him so cute. Okay, so first of all, he's missing his front leg, he's got a little nub, he's got all these scars on his back, like this big one and one on the side, and he is missing two bottom teeth." The foster parent also shared updates on his condition, talking about his amputated leg in one video with the caption, "Tripp’s amputated leg (aka his chicken nugget) is healing! He’s even got hair growing back."

The caption of the viral video read, "I am so heartbroken at what he had to go through before he was rescued from the streets of Mexico," and many users dropped warm messages in the comment section to show support. @yesenya wrote, "He’s so lucky to have had found you." @wanna_betokyo_street shared, "I adopted a dog also from Mexico and her jaw is broken they kicked her, a big miracle is that dogs are such forgiving animals. It’s going to sound a bit racist, but we’re a Mexican American family and when we adopted her we were like she should be afraid of us but no, she was happy to be finally loved and be fed and have a nice warm bed with us." @wellnesswithamrit commented, "Now he’s healing with you." @annyb903 exclaimed, "Thank God he has you. Look how safe he is in your loving arms now."
