Sometimes, the smallest actions can have the biggest consequences. A woman in China recently experienced this firsthand when her playful cat decided to "help" with her work in an unexpected way. What seemed like an ordinary moment at home quickly turned into a situation she could never have anticipated, all because of a curious feline and a keyboard. When the young owner suddenly learned she had lost her job, surveillance footage revealed the mysterious culprit who had sent an email to her boss that ended her employment

As reported by SCMP News, the 25-year-old woman from Chongqing, China, had nine cats and had been hesitating to send a resignation email to her boss on January 5, 2025. She had written the email but worried about losing the income she needed to care for her pets. While she paused over the decision, her home surveillance camera captured the moment one of her cats jumped onto the desk and pressed the "enter" key, sending the email without her approval.

She said that she immediately contacted her boss to explain that it was her cat, but her message was ignored. Unfortunately, the action cost her both her job and a year-end bonus. Despite the setback, the woman remained focused on her responsibilities to her pets. She said she planned to look for a new job after the Spring Festival to continue supporting her nine cats. Until then, she was stuck with her chaotic little crew.

Some pets are always in a mischievous mood, and while their actions can sometimes cause trouble, other times they create hilarious moments. In one case, a playful cat named Leonardo da Pinchy took his antics to a whole new level. Instead of toys or treats, he developed a habit of stealing clothes from neighbors. His owner, Helen North, living in Mairangi Bay, Auckland, said the 15-month-old feline snuck out daily and brought home items. These ranged from socks to expensive sweaters, like a brand-new cashmere sweater that cost around $181, leaving her both frustrated and amused. The collection grew so large that the owner had to start posting pictures online to return the stolen items. She hilariously asked in the neighborhood WhatsApp group, "Are these your undies?"

Once, Leonardo even carried home a five-foot stuffed snake. Despite the mischief, neighbors mostly found the antics entertaining, and the cat became a local celebrity. "All of our neighbors think he’s amazing. Some of them are quite put out that he hasn’t actually stolen anything of theirs," she shared. Attempts to keep him indoors or distract him with household clothes didn’t work, as he only wanted forbidden items. North hopes the feline will eventually lose interest, admitting she can only wait and watch while Leonardo continues his cheeky adventures.
