When this woman’s favorite feline welcomed her at her door, she was stunned to see something unusual attached to her collar and was even more shocked when she learned it was part of her boyfriend’s "purrfect" plan! A Reddit user (u/dostoyev) shared an adorable story that comes with a twist that is worth taking notes from!

The Reddit user posted an adorable photo of a cat named Talula, a Ragdoll who had something dangling from her collar. He revealed how his best friend, who was figuring out the most memorable way to propose, stumbled upon an idea that revolved around his girlfriend's cat. Talula normally greeted her owner when she came home. So, the boyfriend thought, what better way to pop the question than with a ring, hiding it in the cat's collar and making the cat surprise her?

The man decided to attach the ring to the fluffy Ragdoll cat to help him ask for her hand in marriage. The Reddit title read, "My best friend put an engagement ring on the collar of the cat that always greets her." According to Love Meow, when the woman was welcomed by the cat, she was speechless when she found the beautiful ring. And of course, she said yes to the proposal.

Soon after the post went viral, many users left witty remarks and their personal experiences in the comment section. u/L2D2 recounted, "My husband tried to do this as well, but the cat ran under the bed and wouldn't come out. When she did, it took a while for us to chase her down and get the ring back. We definitely did not get her to hold still long enough for a clear picture. Kudos to your friend and the cat for pulling it off!" "I did a similar thing with her dog, but I pretended to freak out that there was a lump on his neck. Meanwhile, u/karafrankinthrace added, "I always kind of wanted to be proposed to in this sort of way. I picture it as me coming home and when I walk into the bedroom there is a puppy on the bed and there is an engagement ring hanging on its collar." u/spacitybowler joked, "She can have the ring.
