Wife feared her husband would be bored on his day off — then came a security cam alert and proved her completely wrong

Watching the fun unfold from afar, the wife couldn’t help but wish she could drop everything and join them right then.

A wife dragged herself to work while her husband was left at home alone with their dog. As she powered through the day, the woman, who goes by @angelinemxrtinez on TikTok, could not help but wonder whether her husband was bored on his day off. A brief notification from their security camera revealed the truth, which instantly made her jealous and want to go back home and join them on their adventure. A viral TikTok video posted on February 19, 2025, and since deleted, showed her husband on a wild ride with their English Bulldog.

It was the perfect day for a fun outing, and the husband made the most of it. On the contrary, the wife thought her husband might be sulking at home, being bored all alone. At lunchtime, the wife headed out to eat but pondered about her husband’s whereabouts at home. Then, her phone screen lit up, and a notification from her security camera showed her what her husband was up to. "I actually just so happened to see the notification pop up on my phone right as I went on my lunch, just as I was wondering if he might be bored on his day off. And there I see he wasn't," the woman told Newsweek.

Stunned by her husband’s stunt, the wife did nothing but share the footage on the internet and turned her dog and husband into an overnight sensation. The husband had decided it was a great day to hop on a bike ride. But he was not alone. The footage showed the man holding onto a dog leash while riding the bike with his other hand. The leash was attached to a wagon rolling alongside him, which happened to carry their beloved pet. The Bulldog was totally having fun with his head moving with the wind and tongue sticking out. The furry co-rider also had his paws out on the front to enjoy the thrill of the ride.

Meanwhile, the wife watched all the fun from afar and said she “wanted to immediately join” them. The husband also filmed a video of their dog enjoying the cruise on his wagon and made for a wholesome memory. The post was acknowledged by several viewers thrilled by their adventure. One person wrote, “I'd be mad cause that looks fun, why am I left out?" and another noted, "This is goals. I love this for them both.” A commenter shared a rather different perspective. “Girl, he's trying to be the dog's #1, start taking the dog to work,” someone else pointed out.
