She filmed the moment the expert told them about their dog’s final thoughts, capturing the candid reactions of the beautiful coincidence on the internet.
Shea was sitting in the living room, with their pet dog Bosley snuggled up next to her family. On the call, the pet psychic explained what was going through Bosley’s mind as he inched closer to his permanent sleep. “We hired a pet psychic to get our 13-year-old dog’s last thoughts before being put to rest,” a note on the video read. “Do you guys happen to have a fireplace?” the psychic asked. Shea and her family, surprised by her insinuation, informed her that Bosley was sleeping right next to it in the living room. “That’s all he wants,” the psychic added, suggesting the pet’s final wish was simply a cozy space and the warmth of his family.
The dog owner revealed that though they were skeptical about hiring the psychic, they wanted to give it a shot as it would be their last chance to do it anyway. “We asked her if he wanted to do anything before passing, and this was her answer.” Shea included several snippets of Bosley chilling out near the fireplace, which was evidently his favorite spot in the whole world. Moments before his euthanasia, the vet brought Bosley a “happy meal,” which he was greatly excited about and stole some from the bag. The dog owner cherished all the happy moments shared before saying goodbye to her pet dog, also known as Farties, Donny, Mr. President, and Boz.
The video amassed 2 million views and 203,000 likes. People penned heartfelt notes for Boz, while others appreciated the owner’s thoughtful gesture before the pet’s departure. “All he wanted was to be with you and be warm and cozy. He was loved until the very end. Wishing you some peace and self-care during these times,” wrote @girlyfromthehudsonvalley. “This made me cry. You gave him a beautiful life, it seems. I’m sorry,” empathized @lindsaykattenhorn. In a follow-up comment, Shea revealed that the psychic had also mentioned roses. “We’ve always had rose bushes in every house he lived in, but then the vet brought him a yellow rose to place next to him as he passed,” she penned.
